Thanks Lesley!!!!

Well, with a gentle nudge from my Teamie on UKS, I suddenly realise that my blog is terribly out of date. So here I am with a quick update on the situation...

Things have been quite manic and haven't really had time to stop and think. Hubby working extremely hard and spending loadsa time sorting out the racing cars - only to be beaten by the weather - until this weekend. He has finally gone racing this weekend - so hopefully he can de-stress in his favourite way.

I have been manic too - been on the course to enable me to train the guys at work. Have also done my first course - was so scared I spent the whole day shaking.... Apparantly it was a cool course and they enjoyed it so there's no stopping me now!!!

We have passed our inspection at work and things are improving all the time - hopefully back in full swing by the end of the summer.

Bethan is doing well - she is beginning to read and write. Have bought her some wipe clean boards to help - one for numbers, one for the alphabet and one for the 45 most common words for the Reception Year at school. She loves these boards and loves writing on them. She adores singing and acting and really enjoys my Clubland Classix CDs in the car.

Katrina is now 3!!!! This is scary for me now. My baby isn't a baby now and she's not a toddler either.... she a kid now. Her speech is fantastic now - but there are still moments when she talks rubbish. Not worried yet - Bethan does a lot of talking for her - having to train Beth to stop this.

Katrina is very good at throwing paddies but is beginning to realise that this doesn't get her anywhere.

Gwennie is now 7 months old - she is quite a big dog, but very loving. She is finally toilet trained, but is chewing anything in sight when she is left alone. Lost count of the number of shoes we have had to throw away. She has even chewed the carpets..... Still she loves the beach and the sea and is very obediant otherwise.

Looking forward to our holiday next week - should be interesting as there are 25 of us going in all. God help Porthmadog - that's all I can say....

My baby brother got married last week too - the girls were bridesmaids, and I ended up walkin with them too - Thanks Holly hunny..... The girls love Holly - my brother's missus -and enjoy spending time with her... good job really. See piccie
Right, I think that's me upto date.... will hopefully post some more after my hols...
Take care all

End of the twinkling twenties.....

Well, January has gone already - have not done a lot, but the house is looking a lot better - getting into a routine with the housework and cleaning thanks to a more structured shift pattern at work....

Have also had an early birthday present - a little collie puppy - we have called her Gwennie. She is quite shy - but this is rapidly changing. We are getting her used to the lead now and she has been to the vets. We have insured her, registed her DNA with a missing pets bureau and are getting her microchipped in a fortnight - no excuse really not as expensive as i thought it would be. the potty training is going pretty well. She will pee on the paper - did that within 3 days, the pooping is taking a little longer but she will go outside if the door is open - very clever girl.

Beth is now 5, and doing really well - she has got many friends and is very sociable. She is also a very caring person - always looking out for those in trouble and will see if she can help. Katrina is a bundle of trouble - her vocab is tonnes better. We get some fantastic sayings out of her - a right little character. she loves teasing and can wind you up without batting an eyelid.
she is nearly 3 and I had to fill in her pre-school forms this week - our baby is growing up too fast.

ah well - had better go and get ready for work. the job is still great and things are getting better. they are evening sending me on a course so i can then train in-house. amazing.

right gotta go - this isn't getting the housework done or the washing out.

see you all soon

Hey - where has the year gone?

Well, what has happened to 2007? I know it wasn't the most wonderful year initially, but it eventually picked up and then all of a sudden its over!!! Who pinched the time....

Still loving my job, everyday is definitely different. You've no idea what you're doing when you arrive. One shift you could be watching t.v, the next taking the guys shopping and going to the pub for lunch! Its fab to see the guys improving and becoming more interactive and responsive.

The girls had a bit of a mixed xmas - they got all their pressies, but Katrina was ill on xmas eve night and didn't finally drop off to sleep until 6.30am xmas day morning.... then Bethan was ill on her birthday (Boxing Day) and spent 4 hours asleep!!!! bless them - tthey are much better but we have all been left with stuffy noses and horrific coughs.

Still working hard in the voluntary sections as usual - finding it more difficult though - however, there isn't anyone else to take over, and in several cases if i left the group would have to close - so am in a no win situation... we'll see what 2008 brings.

My craft has definitely come to a stand still - feel really rotten on my teamies on the UKs site, but they are really supportive and we have decided that the friendship is more important than the crafting.... totally agree. if it wasn't for them, this year would have been unbearable and i may well have fallen apart. Cheers girls for everything!!!

Well, have typed loads and think its all upto date. will try and keep more with it next year, should be easier now i've got a laptop and a wireless connection. it means i can be with the kids and do my jobs and stuff all at the same time..... yippeeeeeeee

See you all in 2008

And now for the 11 o'clock news....

Well, thought i'd update seen as it's just over a month since i was on last.

The new job is going really well - ever day is completely different as you don't know what mood the guys will be in when you get there. The staff are fab and every one is lovely and friendly.
Am even allowed to drive the company car to take the residents out and do day to day stuff with them.

Bethan is now at school full time. that was a day to remember - her dad cried more than i did. but it didn't phase bethie at all. Katrina misses her sometimes, but she has ber own thing now and is doing well. they have gone back to creche when i'm working and are doing really well.

Katrina decided to start potty training just after i finished my old job - luckily with the gap between jobs it gave me chance to nail it. she is dry most of the day and even asks for the toilet too. everyone is really proud of her.

my craft stuff has taken a back seat for a while, and i had even taken to scrapping on the computer - however, i am getting into a routine now and am slowly getting to grips with some me time....

right enough for now - am happy at the moment - things still not 100% but will sort that out eventually.

Signing off

Oh dear....

Well there is no excuse for the lacsidascial approach to this blog, but i did warn you all dear readers...

So much has happened since my last update.
Things went a little awry at work and so I have changed my job. I now work with disabled adults to try and help them run a working farm in our next village. Did a taster day last week and really enjoyed it.

The girls had to be taken out of creche while i wasn't working - its been really hard, but they have only just started asking about going back. I know they miss the others and the fun they had but hopefully it'll be sorted when work starts properly.

I am going to be producing the next pantomime for our drama group - doing Snow White. Will be hard work but should be great - its got a twist.

Hubby qualified for the nationals with his racing - grasstracking - so we went to Thornborough (just outside Ripon) and supported him. considering his machine is all homemade he did really well. Just by gettin there he was in the top 40 in the UK! He should end up in the top 30's by the time its all sorted - really proud of him. The weather was lovely and we got burnt....

Can't think of anything else at the moment - things have been so mad at the moment - probably missed something but tough...

Speak soon

Saturday 30 June 2007

Well, though i'd start with this pic.

These are my babies - taken at my parents just before we went to a Halloween/housewarming last october.

Don't be swayed by their angelic faces - they can be devils but i wouldn't swap them for the world.

Bethan (on left) is a wise old thing - a fab big sister and very caring. She'll make a fab nurse one day.

Katrina (on right) has hit the terrible twos with a vengance. her temper is foul - just like mine. just hope she learns to control it like i had to.

They both love all things girlie and Thomas the tank - went to see him for Katrina's birthday. Pics will follow. a wonderful day out - worth every penny.

I miss them both when am at work - but know they are very happy with their lot while i'm away and are spoilt rotten. everybody knows them and loves them to bits - including the 'hard' men!!!

right enough waffle / biased musings - back to the grind. must call people and find out what they thought of properties views through work...

Had a few days to sort things out- and as predicited i haven't had chance to get back to sort it.

Been busy as usual. Will hopefully be able to pop back on over weekend to sort it out.

Watch this space.
